Madelyn draws some of her inspiration from the beautiful nature she is surrounded by in Marin County. She gravitates towards pink/pastel hues, beach sunsets, & roses.

Heavily inspired by the Surrealist & Abstract Expressionist movements as well, she combines these styles with elements of realism, & challenges our perspective of how we view the world. Other sources of inspiration include her love for dance, fashion, pop culture, & animals.

She works in oil, acrylic, & watercolor paints, but has a soft spot for the buttery blending of oil paints. Color is a massive aspect of her work, & she can't help but reach for a joyful and/or soothing color palette!
